Meet Dr Raji Nair

Dr Rajeswari (Raji) Nair is an experienced female obstetrician and gynaecologist having worked in the field for over 25 years.  Dr Nair has been working at Monash Health for the last 19 years and now has a new private clinic in Glen Waverley.

 

She is actively involved in the mentoring and training of medical students at Monash Health. She is also on the panel of examiners of Monash University.

 

Dr Nair has also had a stint treating patients at Barwon Health in Geelong, Victoria's largest rural health services provider.

Prior to working in Australia, Dr Nair, who hails from India, worked in the state of Kerala. During her time there, she conducted a number of both natural and assisted births. She has extensive experience in Obstetrics and is a strong advocate for vaginal deliveries when clinically appropriate, while ensuring safe and timely caesarean sections when required.. Having worked for many years in tertiary centres, Dr Nair has considerable experience providing antenatal care to patients with high-risk pregnancies.

Dr Nair has also successfully consulted with couples trying to conceive. She continues to have a great interest in pre-pregnancy consultations.

 

Pre-natal tests are a big part of what Dr Nair does and she possesses a high degree of interest and expertise in the area of maternal fetal medicine.
